Black Leopards is a South African football club based in Thohoyandou, Vhembe Region, Limpopo that plays in the Premier Soccer League.

The club was founded in 1983 by business people in the Vhembe Region as Sibasa Black Leopards. In 1998 the club was taken over by the Thidiela family. After two seasons of campaigning in the National First Division, we were promoted to the ABSA Premier Soccer League.
In 2008 we were relegated back to the National First Division after playing for seven seasons in the Absa Priemership but the club made its return to the top tier division three years later.
We launched our new kit in 2020 through a collaboration with Umbro, you can purchase your shirt on the Umbro website.

The club employs over 50 people and participate in the DSTV PSL in South Africa. The club plays its home games at Thohoyandou Stadium under Thulamela Local Municipality.
The existence of Black Leopards provide opportunity for street vendors, formal businesses like tourism, hospitality, transport, food, merchandise, supply, events and many. Through the game of Black Leopards in Limpopo, there has been evidence of reduction of violence, drugs and other illicit activities because many young people aspire to be like their own idols. Several other teams have also been formed with a vision to emulate the success of Black Leopards which improved opportunities that exist within the game of football in Limpopo where a population of over 5 million is a source of talent which get mixed with experience from elsewhere.
Lehlohonolo Seema was born in Lesotho, joined Black Leopards in 2020. He started his career in coaching as a coach assistant for Bloemfontein Celtic and later took over as a head coach in 2017 until 2020 when he joined Chippa United as head coach and later came to Black Leopards.

Brendan During joined Black Leopards in November 2020. In 2003 Brendon qualified as a physiotherapist from the university of Witwatersrand, he was the University of Johannesburg’s men’s team physiotherapist from 2013-2015 and academy physiotherapist at Bidvest Wits FC from 2015-2017.

Thulani Shivambu joined Black Leopards in 2013 and has been an assistant coach since 2018.

Samuel Banda joined Black Leopards in 2018 and has previously worked with Mazmebe UTD, Joint and GK since 2012.

Mongezi Bobe rejoined Black Leopards in 2019 and was previously head coach for MDC. He is currently the assistant coach for the first team.
